Inspiring women
Woman in the Arabian world has been presenting
sacrifices and affecting the society positively . Since the time of prophet
Muhammad PBUH , woman used to be a strong part of life . We absolutely can't
forget how amazing and brave were women at wry in that era . History repeats
itself every day , and today we see such courageous ladies in Al Tahreer Square
, Syria and Tunisia streets .
The beginning of the Arab spring was from our country Palestine , the land of
inspiration to fight for freedom. Laila Khaled represents the female
Palestinian resistance . This lady planned and succeeded to kidnap an Israeli
plane and flew to Syria to release the Palestinians detainees there . This
" lady with the lamb and the gun " lighten the way to Arabs mothers in
revolutions . Such as Nobel peace prize winner Tawakkul Karman who is called
the " mother of Yemeni's revolution " karman is a Yemeni journalists, politician and senior member of
Al-Islah party , and human rights activist who heads the group " woman
journalists without chains "
We shouldn't forget the great role that the Syrian woman plays . She encouraged
her sons and husbands to fight the tyrant Bashar AlAsad , she endures their
absence in the jails of torment . Tunisia , where the ferment began and the
" Jasmine revolution " toppled president zain ElAbdeen Ben Ali .
Blogger Lina Ben Mhenni was probably first to alert the world to Tunisian
protests ( despite threats and persists ) .
During the Arab Spring , so many global and local organizations compete to
honor women who played an effective role in revolutions . It seems that the
Arab Spring is the golden gate for woman to get equal rights and it puts
woman's right in the spotlight . Some of those loyal ladies were chosen to be
the most effective and superb women in the global society .
In my point of view I feel so ashamed when I think of comparing my slight
achievements with those marvelous women , who flatten and paved the way to the
coming generations , who guides us from the darkness of injustice to the light
of liberty . Those soft and wonderful ladies became models for me and for all
women in all over the world.
